The whitening agent in Zoom is peroxide. The peroxide gel penetrates the tooth and releases oxygen to break up stains and discolorations, leaving your teeth permanently whiter.

The Zoom! procedure is fairly simple. First, retractors and a napkin are placed to cover your lips.
Second, a rubbery coating is placed on your gums to protect them, and your teeth are coated with the Zoom! gel. The gel will gently penetrate your teeth.
Third, the Zoom! light is shined on your teeth. The light helps activate the gel to break up the stains and discoloration. During this time you can relax, watch TV, or listen to music.
