Naperville Dental Bridge
A dental bridge replaces a missing
tooth. A crown is placed on each tooth next to the space of the missing
tooth, and then a false tooth is suspended between the crowns. |
| To the right is a
diagram of a dental bridge. This has traditionally been the best way to
replace a missing tooth. Another option that
is becoming more popular is with a
dental implant. An implant
involves the placing of an anchor in the bone and then placing a
porcelain crown over it.
When a dental bridge involves a front tooth, there
are several things that a trained cosmetic dentist can do to make the
tooth look real. Many times a false tooth isn't perfectly matched to the
other teeth, or it looks opaque, or has a dark line at the gumline. |

cosmetic dentistry. She is familiar with techniques such as ovate pontics,
all-porcelain construction, ridge augmentation, and other techniques that
can be employed to make your dental bridge look so natural that no one
with know you have a false tooth. |
